We are pleased to annouce that next year’s Noise Action Week will take place on 21-25th May.

Noise Action Week 2011 was a great success, with local authorities and other organisations around the UK putting imagination and hard work into engaging their communities to raise awareness of noise.

As well as widespread and worthwhile participation from local authorities and housing providers, a number of partnerships were formed, for example with police and mediation services – ensuring the message on taking responsibility for noise was spread wide. NAW received national press coverage, regional TV coverage and widespread coverage in local press and on radio. We also received support from MPs from all the main parties.

“It’s heartening to report that thanks to a combination of growing awareness, goodwill, increasing enthusiasm and the advent of social networking… despite the absence of central funding, Noise Action Week seems to have reached an impetus of its own” – Noise Bulletin June 2011.
