Let us know what you are planning in the North East for NAW 2013
Lots of inspirational work took place in 2012, including:
Coast and Country Housing
CCH, based in Redcar, produced a short film, with children playing roles, showing how mediation can help in neighbour noise disputes - see the film here -
They will also be visited local schools to play the film & talk about noise awareness.
Erimus Housing and Teesdale Housing
Erimus and Teesdale are spent NAW out and about around the Middlesbrough/Stockton area, providing dog chipping, find the dog chip (!), a graffiti wall for noise pledges, advice and quizzes.
Hull CC - sounding out students
In Hull, officers undertook a radio phone in, leaflet distribution and work with university and students in problem areas to sound out noise problems.
North Lincolnshire Council - school workshops
North Lincolnshire Council promoted NAW by providing free workshops for primary school children which introduce to children an awareness of domestic noise nuisance.
North Lincs are also held a competition for 13 to 15-year-olds. Competition entrants needed to produce a radio advert lasting no more than three minutes, explaining the problems of domestic noise nuisance.
